Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive holistic modality originating in Japan. Energy is channeled by the practitioner with hand positions lightly on or above the body. It’s effective in treating unbalanced energy in the body and weakened immune systems by rebalancing energy leading to speeding healing from injuries, realigning and detoxifying the body and aiding in the recovery of emotional trauma. It brings about an overall sense of well-being and peace.



What does it feel like?

Most people experience a very deep sense of relaxation and tension release. You may feel a very comforting warmth, heat or tingling sensations as the energy moves through you. Others report a light floating feeling and see dream images of past memories or colors during the healing. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive, holistic method of healing for adults, children and even pets and can safely be combined with traditional medical treatments.

How should I prepare for a treatment?

A typical session lasts approximately one hour. You remain fully clothed while the practitioner channels the energy with gentle touch through a series of hand positions on or above the body.
Wear comfortable clothes
Avoid alcohol the day of the treatment
Have a light snack or meal before
Hydrate before and following your session
Bring your best intentions.
